I thought I'd take a second to tell the millions and millions of people who read my blog on a daily basis about a little project I'm working on through my office. I've worked at Farmers Insurance for a little over four years now & every once in a while - a great project comes along! We have the opportunity to get a grant from the home office folks to help out in a community need that we feel could benefit from some CASH! Well of course they wouldn't take my checking account as a consideration - SOOOOO instead we are working with River Heights Elementary School (where Carter is a 1st grader in Ms. Smith's class). They have some super old school TV systems in their classrooms. Seriously - the kind that don't have the ability to have a DVD player hooked into them at all. I think the principal said they were about 30 years old! Anywho - so we are getting a grant from Farmers Insurance and the Elementary school's PTA is set to match the funds they get and hopefully we can get some new TV/DVD systems in the classrooms for these kids. They're set to do a big presentation, with an assembly and the local paper and everything. I will - of course - keep you all informed about the progress so you can watch for us on the Today Show or something on a lower level perhaps!

Sounds like a great idea.
I thought you went missing, but I guess not. Phew...I was really worried when I found at 12 hours after the fact.
