Month of Thanks!

So I'm stealing the idea from my sister in law - Kandi SUE - to blog each day and say something that you are thankful for. :) In all honesty, I think its a great idea becuase there are many many times in my life where I need to take a moment and remember all of the things that I am blessed with and should be grateful for. Often I get so caught up in the crazy & hectic routines of my life with work and the boys and Shane's school & his work ---- that I rarely take the time to notice the positive things in my life.
Today - I am thankful for the good health that my family (husband & kids) have always been blessed with. Neither Shane or I have never had severe health problems and have been able to remedy or at least decrease any health issues that we have faced. All four of my sons have always been healthy and have never suffered medically for any reason. In our little hill-billy newspaper over the last few months, there hasn't been a single week thats gone by without there being an infant's obituary. Several have been stillbirths or only surviving a few days of tremendous medical difficulty. It made me realize how lucky/fortunate/blessed I am to have healthy children and to have all of them with me.
I cannot imagine what these parents have had to go through and I am so thankful that I have not had to endure that. Even having the knowledge and faith that I do about what happens to us when we die - I still think it would be one of the most difficult things for a parent to go through in life.

Amen!

As the mother of four small children I was always thankful for that too!

As the mother of four "older" children I was thankful for Thanksgiving prayers without giggles ~

;-D

I'm glad you stole the idea. It's great, other than I have not been staying on top of it as much as I should.
