**** SUSHI ****

So a couple of weeks ago my fabulous Aunt Lisa calls me and asks if I want tickets to Rascal Flatts down in SLC? I've liked them since they first came out --- maybe even a little bit more back then than I do now ---- so I tell her that I'll take the tickets! My sis-in-law, Kandi & I went last Thursday and it was quite a show! We had really good seats but I kind of felt like an OLD LADY because it was really really really loud & not being drunk or 14 years old - I felt a bit out of place! Anywho - we stayed overnight at Lisa's house after and headed back up to Cache Valley the next morning.

WELL --- sometime after I got ready at her house, my makeup bag mysteriously disappeared from my stuff....which I didn't notice until the NEXT morning when I went to get ready for work! Come to find out that it had been stashed away mischeviously by my neice! :) Anyway - it mad for a good excuse to have to meet up again so that Sunday I drove down and met up with her 1/2 way to get the sacred make-up!


We had already talked about having lunch & she asked if I liked SUSHI.










I tell her that I've never really tried it (not counting some forgein exchange student food in high school). So she takes me to this Sushi place in Layton & kind of walks me through what things are and whats really spicey versus a kinder, starter roll to get. We ended up ordering a bunch of things to try - Carter and Mason were with me and they were game for trying some of it too. They LOVED watching it be prepared and talking to the people there about what things were. Serious fascination! They were a bit less fascinated when they realized that they would be eating these weird looking dishes though!



The presentation was great - to me it looked realy fantastic & I agreed to give everything ONE shot at least! Honestly - I was expecting to hate most of it. I'm really into the textures of food & that often will make me NOT eat something just because of how it feels in my mouth! (yeah - I'm weird ... so what?!?!) SURPRISINGLY --- I thought it was all pretty great! The only thing I wasn't 100% sold on was the raw tuna with wasabi & soy.... not a good texture. But all of the different rolls she had were fantastic! Now - I cannot WAIT to have another reason to go eat some sushi! YUMMMMM!!
