Life has been a TAD crazy for us this past week! Monday night while Shane and I were enjoying our quiet evening time (with The Bachelor on TV) - almost out of nowhere he started having horrible pain in his lower left back. Within about twenty minutes he was in horrendous pain and we were on our way to the hospital!!! He ended up being after about six hours in the ER. They did a CT scan and found a 5mm stone just barely passing out his kidney.
Bless his heart during his terrible pain - he was making the worst jokes! When they told him the size of the stone - he looked at me and said "Don't you only have to get to a 10 to have a BABY?!!!" SHEER panic in his eyes .... I leaned in real close and said "10 CENTIMETER Shane. Centimeters. NOT milimeters!!!
Sad to say - he still hasn't passed it almost 100 hours later and it's been quite a ride. The great thing is that we have been so blesse to have Shane's brother in law to watch Jack and Charlie during the day while Shane rests and the older boys are at school. Thank you TYSON!!!
Cross your fingers for Shane to get through this and for me too! Hey I've gone though kidney stones and childbirth. And I would totally rather have four more births "all natural" rather than go through another kidney stone ever again!
