I thought I would post a quick update on Shane incase anyone hasn't heard the latest on his kidney stones & the timeline they are looking at.
This Friday (3/19) he is going back to see the Urologist and have another Xray done to see if the stone has moved at all since 2 weeks ago when he went in. Of course, the best news would be that is has dropped into his bladder & will pass on its own. That also happens to be thousands of dollars cheaper for us!
If it hasn't dropped, then he is already scheduled for surgery the following Monday. This is the one that Clint had where they put a stint "in there" and go in to retrieve the little buggar. They would leave the stint in for a week to make sure it doesn't close in due to the "trauma" of the surgery.
Sounds lovely - doesn't it? The irony is that he has been relatively pain free for almost 10 days now --- but he's been on this ride for 4 1/2 weeks already & its time for it to end! I'm really hoping and praying that the stone will have already dropped by the time he goes to the DR on Friday so he doesn't have to endure the surgery & so this can be over for him (and maybe a little for me too)!
Keep your fingers crossed --- maybe pray a little too!
